A winter sea song

This is a little something I wrote over the winter of 2021, after returning to my hometown in New Jersey. It had been quite a tumultuous year, with the strike of the pandemic, the poor health of a family member, and a sprinkle of heartbreak. As always, I turned to the sea for advice – something about whipping winter air and the crashing of waves never ceases to point me back in the right direction.

Tonight I felt the wind blow until I felt whole. It blew through my heart, my pain, and my ego until nothing was left except for me.

I stood by the sea, wind all around, only to realize that I do not come here to be alone. I come here to be part of a bigger whole. I come here so that when tears fall from my cheeks, they go back to the sea.

I am not smaller than the ocean or bigger than my tears, I just am. I am comforted by the lull of the waves and I am held by the wind. I am covered in salt and made up of mostly water.

I am here, I am now, I am.

PS… This little Diddy doesn’t have a title. Leave your ideas in the comments!! 🙂

Snapshot: 7 days on the Algarve

Portugal’s Algarve is one of the spectacular coastal locations in the country, with dramatic cliffs and sparkling blue water. Take a mini-trip via some of my favorite film shots.

  1. A beautiful feeling, and the most beautiful one is the spirit behind the words stemming from the heart full of experiences and the sweetest soul if strips away from the physical body and goes in all directions unrestricted so as to penetrate all the blocking, so your words ripple and made every heart hears .
