To say this year has been crazy would be the understatement of the century. I was living in Thailand, moved home, went on a cross-country road trip, moved to England, and now have started my new life here. (Today my job was confirmed and I got an apartment, eeee!) Well, for as long as I can ever manage to stay tied down in one place…

Despite the madness, or dare I say because of it, a good friend of mine and I have decided to make the leap. We started a small business! Yikes, does putting it in writing into the cybersphere make it feel more official, or is it just me?

Woah, official

Anyway, that’s where I’ve been hiding for the past few weeks. I’ve been logging long hours on the computer, but just not here.

I’m so excited to see where this new adventure takes us! My passion has always been in the creative realm, and while I like to think that my fashion sense is on point, it will be safer to leave the design details to Mary Grace. So that leaves me to photography and marketing.

The only downside: Mary Grace is in the United States, and I am across the pond in England. What can I say? I’ve always loved a challenge. At the moment, the UK is also in a lockdown, so I have nothing but time anyway.

2020 has been an absolute whirlwind. I should probably say more of a tornado. The kind that swept Dorothy’s house off the ground and caused her to land in Oz. I think most people could agree with that.

Seeing how much this year has changed, we will just have to see what next year has in store for me, and Mauna Kea Jewelry!

I would love love love to hear what you guys think of some of the pieces, or what you would like to see more of. We will also be doing custom design as well. I can ship from the UK, and Mary Grace from England. Maybe this distance thing won’t be so much of a bad thing…

Until next time,
