I always thought that travel bloggers lead this luxurious life of doing whatever they wanted and then just writing every once in a while. After all, how hard can it be to pound out a quick blog? I’m realizing now it isn’t quite that easy.
First of all, traveling takes a lot of time and effort, especially when you’re quickly moving from place to place. Since I’ve gotten to Asia, my style of travel has changed from staying in one place for a few weeks to one place for a few days. Part of this is the reason I’ve been slacking so much with writing. By the time I finish adventuring for the day, eat, pack up and move to the next place, my bed is calling to me.
Now by no means am I trying to make this sound like a hardship, because by most standards of life I’m in the small percentile who gets to travel for multiple months at a time. I’m just saying that to write content that is good, that people will actually enjoy reading, really takes a lot of time and effort. When you’re on the road you have to carve out specific time for writing, and I’ve been learning that the hard way this past few weeks.
I’ve moved on from Koh Phangan to Koh Tao in Thailand, where hopefully I’ll have a bit more down time for some writing and editing!
I certainly have no shortage of images to share, but my dilemma is that I can’t edit them. Once I graduated from college, my membership to the Adobe Suite ran out at the end of the summer so most of my editing will have to wait until I get home. But until then, here are a few pictures from my last week in Thailand.

Had a bit of fun playing with blurred lights and slow shutter speed in Koh Phangan!
